Snow is "sno fun" if you have to move it. After that, there is plenty to do if you want to play.

During college I worked in a Freezer at an ice cream distribution center. I frost all summer and could not get warm. Family was disappointed when the summer ended and the free ice cream stopped comming in.

I will say mid winter I can't wait for summer, it's hard to motivate yourself to do any car mods/work when the garage or driveway is freezing cold. Plus I hate gaining all the holiday weight. If I wasn't married I might actually try and lose that weight during spring but meh.

No offense. But I would never live anywhere on the mainland, US. I have many awesome friends from the US - but there's WAY too many nut jobs down there......and don't even get me started on the 'out of control' gun problems down there!! I've been to Hawaii a few times (Big Island) - and I could definitely live there. They have a completely different mind-set there. I have plans to at least get a time-share there eventually.

Every rose has it's thorn...we get very little to no snow on the West Coast, just lots of rain in the winter months. Still, there is no such thing as a rain shovel...that I'm aware of. But nothing beats watching a heavy snow storm from your window and the silence it brings with it, but like others have posted, it's the clean up and the dirty snowbanks that I never liked when I lived in the capital city.

Gaining weight in the winter is a natural phenomena to get one warm. Perhaps if you weren't so reluctant to gain more, that cold garage might seem warmer.

I loved snow as a kid.
    Hated it as an adult.
    So I moved to Florida.
