Why are there so many 1st and 2nd gen haters of 3rd gen here

It's just jealously, plain and simple. You see it all the time. Kid gets a new pair of Jordan shoes, a month later a new pair comes out that his buddy buys, and the original kid without fail "ya but those suck I would never buy them"....and then he proceeds to try and find anything wrong with them.

That night he's home crying to mom to buy him the newest Jordans.

With Facebook and Instagram shoved in our faces all day, we live in an incredibly materialistic world. Rarely do you find people who are happy for others who buy new and improved things, instead you find envy. It's sad, but just the world we live in.

Just ignore the haters, you know where they are coming from.

 

Disappointing

 

Since every new version of something is better? lmao. Maybe some are jealous, but there are legitimate points also being made. I love how some people think the new truck is so perfect. Yes some improvements, some not improvements, some carried over, and looks are subjective. Just because someone has criticism of something or dosent like it dosent mean they are jealous. You do realize there are guys here who could walk in and buy 3 of them no problem, or the amount of money guys sink in mods. The jealousy justification is immature at best and oversimplying it. This is a forum of Tacoma Fans, with viable input, criticisms, etc. No generation of these trucks is perfect, we all have our own likes or dislikes and just saying the newest is best and infallible is silly. But I do agree some people need to lighten up in here and just discuss the facts, etc.

 

Thankfully. No sense in reinventing the wheel. Toyota made changes where changes were needed. Interior, Tech, Body design,drive train, and left well enough alone. Many of us don;t change suspension bits. We are happy with the status quo in that arena. Although the Hitachi shocks seperate the OR,SR5 from the Sport.

I actually sold my 2013 DC TRD to get the wife a new 4 runner back in June so I may get the new taco. I've been waiting for what seems like an eternity but sadly after seeing on in person the other day I wish I still had my old truck.

The guy who thinks it's jealousy , maybe but we're not chatting on the M3 or porsche forums, it's a 30k truck, I think most here could afford it.

If you like the new taco great, but I won't be seen in that fuggly thing.

My cousin worked at a Ford dealer years ago and they sold a Ford Focus to a homeless guy riding by on a bicycle. Pretty sure all the haters can easily "afford" aka finance a 2.5 gen.


Maybe the "haters" are waiting for Toyota to fix the stalling out issues then re-evaluate?


How about the 3rd gen buyers just go drive their trucks and stop complaining about the "haters". But it does make you feel warm and fuzzy inside when you post a thread about your new truck and people congratulate you....

I'm not sure why 3rd gen owners made a thread about the haters, and then are upset when the haters show up...

It seems a lot to me like complaining about bear and wolf attacks while walking through the Rockies with a steak tied to your nutsack.
