Myself, but I did cheat last time around. I have no time, so I folded and went to someone. So sad. I did recheck their work. Bastards left an oil spot. LOL:rolleyes:
Had the silver monster for going on 4 years and still only have under 30k miles on it. :D

I do it myself. It is too easy to have someone else do it. They charge way too much. Most places I have gone to are like $40-$50 just for changing oil. That is way too much for me. And with those costs you still only get the worst oil they have.

I change it myself. Always have always will. The only gripe I have with my 1st gen 2.7l is the skid plate. When you take the oil filter off the remaining oil drips down on the plate making a small mess to clean, but nothing big. However, unfortunitly before I owned the truck had 53k on it when I got it, it was serviced at an oil change shop. The sticker said they used 10w30, so thats what Ive stuck with now at 90k. Is this ok or sould I start using 5w30 which the cap says?

once my truck reach 3000 miles, I will try to do it myself. I have never worked on any of my car before, this will be my first time. According to you all it seems pretty easy to change oil on our tacomas.

Bone stock other than new floor mats.
Like many others, DIY here too. Although, I tend to think most truck owners are just that type of people? :D

I agree this is the easiest oil change I've ever done. Plus you know it's done right.

Currently the dealership but I'm thinking of doing the next one. I haven't changed my own oil since college (Jeep Wrangler). I might just make the jump to synthetic with the cost savings. What are folks doing with the old oil?

I do it myself to save some money. Who knows when I'll need the cash because I saw something cool on this site that I'd like to try.

I can change it myself with Mobil-1 synthetic for $20 less than the stealership will charge me to put some cheap bulk dino oil in it. No-brainer.
