Hey guys, i'm getting my truck soon and there's probably some people who will bash me on this but I do have a specific question and goal because I am on a budget but i am not the type to cheap out either for low quality garbage.

My truck is being built 10/21. TRD Sport 4x2 DCLB BBP, i assume coming with firestone destinations LE2

The dealer said that they will trade tires for me to upgrade to better tires so I will be paying the difference. My goal is to get bigger tires that will look nice lifted 3" but will also work with the stock suspension as I will not be lifting the truck until some time later.

I do plan on getting bilstein 5100 with toytec aal sometime in the future but for now, I would like to have durable, aggressive looking tires and keeping the same rims (i do like the way they look personally). What do you guys suggest? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Are you going for looks (like you will always be on pavement) or are you going for durability and plan on driving on crushed-rock roads? If you are even thinking of doing off road - Go for 10 ply LT's - Unless you like flat tires. Passenger car tires don't belong on an off road truck. Personally I run toyo LT235/85-16 AT's in the summer and MT's in the winter....and I put on chains on all 4, frequently, to climb through our world famous snow called Cascade Concrete

AT2, not the M/S. Better traction and last longer.

I suggest the Firestine AT which is an excellent all around tire. Sorry, the more aggressive looking the tread, the less on road worthy it could be.

they are both decent tires all around. I was looking at those since we have snow about 6-8 month of the year so snow ability is 1/2 the equation for a pavement tire for me.

Depends on location. If you are driving in snow I would go for a Cooper or Michelin in a snow rated tire but not aggressive.

Are you in need of severe service rating? If so BFG K02 for sure or the Goodyear Duratrak. If not then I like the Cooper ATP and the Hankook Durapro AT but they are not as good as the Coopers and if memory serves the Coopers are about the same price and have a better warranty. I spent 3 hours at discount tire the other day talking to one of their off-road guys. I am going to rock the factory tires since I got the OR and the factory tires are decent but then I will be going Cooper or K02s.

i live in central valley, ca. there are no snow out here but occasional rain, love the way off road tires look but sounds like best to stick with the on road tires.

Toyo Open country AT 2 run great, no loss of mpg (only 40.5 lbs, only 1 lb heavier than Oem GYs).
