    02 DC v6. Im pumped for the DC and the extra power
    The mods begin tomorrow, i will be swapping most of the stuff from my 04 over and selling it

    I did plugs and wires and also mounted the Mag Lite to the side of my console. Lift kit and wheels and tires are incoming along with LBJ's.

    Sounds like a throttle position sensor issue. Mine did the same thing when I would push in the clutch. It's a $30 part at vato zone.

    Did my lower ball joints today. Other than two broken bolts it went fairly well. Always get new hardware.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    I've heard to just check them for any verticle play with a prybar. If theres no play then your probably fine, but you can change them for peace of mind and then you have trail spares if you keep the old ones. I changed mine, no play, at 192,XXX just for peace of mind.

    I think this is the correct way to look at it. LBJs should be a regular maintenence item like the timing belt/water pump on the v6. They should not be a 'wait for failure' type of deal.

    Every 90K like the timing belt and the water pump seems reasonable to me.
