    maybe a dumb question but I got behind a 2016 Tacoma today going down the interstate and got me thinking if the 2016 tailgate would fit on my gen 2 (2015). It is a good looking tailgate! :) i guess if anyone knows someone with a gen 3 ... maybe try it? i dunno....

    found specs for access cab versions of the 2. The wheelbase is the same but the 2016 is 2.4 inches or so wider.
