I'm at the airport waiting to fly out to pick up mine. I know my dealer has one listed as available online. I'm really interested to see how many they have parked out back that have already been claimed.

No such thing as a double cab long bed with a manual.

If you want a manual with a V6, it needs to be a double cab, short bed with either the TRD sport or Offroad package. You want the TRD offroad, which is 7545.

Toyota MAY offer up more combinations later on, but for a 2016 model year truck, what you want doesn't exist.

My dealer did this too when I wanted to trade in my 2015 Mustang GT Premium with 4900 miles...only they used the "fair" condition rating. Im like, no - its in excellent condition. But they use the "fair" condition value because they need to "recondition" all trades. Im not saying people who work at dealerships are scummier then lawyers....but im not saying theyre not either.

They didn't try to low ball me. We agreed on the condition of "very good". Personally I would have walked if they stated they had to use "fair".

just depends on each person. mine was 38k, MSRP was 41k, OTD was 39k, after trade in, it was 30k. payment came out to 462 was hoping closer to 450, but the warden was willing to make up the difference with her side job mad money.

btw I use an app to figure out monthly payments that includes vehicle cost, tax, fees, trade in, trade in credit, etc. 450 would have mean I either got the new truck for less or the trade in was more.

462 down to 450 would have mean they would have given me another 500-600 on trade in.

I've been following this for the past few days, and am on the edge of buying a brand new truck.

If you're looking to trade-in your fairly new Tacoma let me know. I'm looking for a blue DCSB manual 4x4.

Another question in case we have folks working at dealers here. Is there a way for me to find a certain version (7544) and what dealer in my state might have that version available on the lot now (or enroute to the dealer). I am in the south east and when I do the inventory search it does not give me that information.

    Thank you

    btw 1st post
Owned a 2000 Taco 4x4 (short cab, short bed) many years back:).

If you don't mind me asking, I am assuming you financed the 30k figure, is that 60 mths and what was your rate? Did you finance through TFS? I've found that PenFed has the lowest rates, currently I have .49% on my current car.

has anybody financed this new truck with a BK on their credit if so how recent was your discharge and what was the bank and rate you got approved for? Just curious.

    30k @ 72 @ 3.09

but the interest rate doesn't matter much since we pay more than minimum each month.

if I pay so much extra each month, the effective interest rate is actually lower than that in the contract. I go by my calcs so it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I still end up paying 30k for the truck but in 3-4 years instead of 6 years. its simple interest so more you pay the less you pay interest on in the long run.

wanted to add, the interest rate the dealer gives just lets them have a feel good. i run higher timeframe for those emergencies i may encounter. came in handy when my dad died and i needed emergency money to go see him just after my mom in law passed away a few months earlier.

I'm not a dealer, but have been to many in the past month looking. None were able to give me that information and most would not even trust their own inventory computers. They all walked outside to verify what they actually had on the lot. One said toyota populates their web inventory and shows trucks as "available" that are not actually on the lot. Good luck.

Depends on what accessories the vehicles have.
ex: The limited msrp with tow and tonneau is $40,020 (delivery, handling, processing included)

So what accessories have they added for $1,631.

Most posters seem to be getting the Tacoma under MSRP.
