Has anyone experienced their sunroof rattling while moving with the sunroof all the way open? Just noticed it 3 days after I got the truck. Happens at low speed. I think mainly from the wind but it sounds like a chain is raffling inside. Taking it to the dealer some time next week.

Another owner had the same issue. A few loose bolts was all.

Update: same loose bolts mentioned in the other thread. Fixed and good to go.

I haven't seen a roof in person yet. Mine is suppose to arrive next week. Do they have to remove the headliner to tighten the bolts or are they visable ones?

I am not sure. I'm guessing they do. If it has some sort of rattle while open make sure to tell them you read on this forum that it could be loose bolts.

Good, they keep track of that stuff and trace it back to assembly. Either to a team member issue, tool issue or inspection .
Either way they will check a bunch that haven't been to dealers yet and fix the problem.
If it's like the sienna sunroof, they can reach the bolts with a ratcheting end wrench.

In case bluet is busy. stupid Toyota sunroof is for a car not a truck. it rattles because it's not designed right. Your stupid for buying ! Sell it and by what I like.
See not hard , I'll work up some pictures and graphs later .

@TMMIgirl do you know if the paint protection film is a PIO or DIO or factory installed?

reason I am asking is cause the fitment is crap compare to my 4runner. the gap from the edges varies from like 5-6/32 from the edge down to 2/32. on my 4runner its even distance from the edge.

What kind of bra did you have installed?

There was one put on my 250 by the previous owner. It's getting old and worn but I don't think I can remove it without stripping my clear coat off, thus requiring a replacement. I'm trying to figure out if it's just better to repaint the hood later on rather than worry about bras but now they have bras that cover the whole hood and are thinner than older versions.

They can be removed without damaging the paint. Major pain in the ass though. I removed the one that was on my S2000 cause it had started to yellow

Its definitely not under the clear coat. Its add at the dealer as an add on or maybe TLS, where add on options are installed. ( side steps, roof racks ect)

I'm not sure what kinda. I think it's a 3m product. The guy did a great job putting it on.
