I gotta say after looking at so many photos of the new tacomas, these years trucks are looking so cool and retro to me.

 

^ I have to agree you with on that.
My buddy has a '13. It is definitely a nice truck, I'm just a 1 gen kinda guy.
Last wheelin' trip, he lead the group... I was 3rd in line. We stopped for lunch, he broke out his camera to take pics of the new scratches he had acquired. He came to my truck... I didn't have any. We were on a tight trail too and with his truck being larger, well, you can guess.

 

Here's my Taco on a 3" lift with BFG A/T KO2 265/75r16. Fun side note I'm proud of I just finished blacking out all of my emblems so the truck really flows well. Hope you all like!

I think that would look badass having them mounted under on the front doors, similar location to my flags - just under the side mirror

I hear ya, thankfully the 2nd gen still looks and handles like a small truck on the road.
