You really just have to loosen the bracket they are connected to and gently push them down a little deeper into the engine bay. Wasnt too big of a deal if you have to.

I bought the model that didnt have the smog bracket, So I think the box was a little bigger than the newer models. I bet yours fits like glove.

I'd try and avoid asking them real questions. Unless you like wrong answers.

You can but it's not needed since they designed the intake to run off the stock setup.

That's what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. I've had this run lean code for a while so that made me think it may be the reason.

gonna suck. if you do it, might as well upgrade the pump, covers your ass, plus adds the filter to the exterior, so future replacements are easier.

If you have a K&N filter, the oil from the filter will cause the lean code because the oil contaminates the wires on the MAF and cause's a miss reading.

AFAIK my fuel filter is outside of the gas tank already. Its on the driver side under the cab.

I've cleaned my MAF once. Didn't seem to do anything. I'm going to put a new filter in(the old one is gross, I kind of want to go to a stock air box), clean the maf again as well as the TB. I also have a TRD "O" ring upgrade for my TB.

hmmm are the 1st gens different? 2nd gen has in internal fuel filter, inside the pump housing. PITA. when I did my fuel pump upgrade, it added an external fuel filter in line. now its right under the cab, tucked up, and behind the frame rail. will make filter changes, if needed, much easier.

    Looks like it.

So I'm looking to do the compression test now. I have all the spark plugs out. Saw on youtube that they pulled the fuse for the gas and then just turned the key a few times in each cylinder to read the results. Anything I'm missing?
