I am looking to buy new front and rear bumpers. I am kinda new to the Taco gang since I have only had mine for less than a year. It is a 2015. But I wanted to know from other owners which are good for the money and what to stay away from. Thanks!

    AllPro APEX series front bumper.

It's saved my bacon, taken a beating, and still looks like it did when I installed it.

I strayed from DeMello because it sounded like an Italian restaurant. I don't need to be getting hungry every time I see my damn bumper.

I'm a bit practical in my approach in deciding such things... Figure out first what you want to accomplish with the bumper. Does it need to accommodate a winch? Do you want a bar to protect the front in a rollover? Do you want fog lights, Hi-Lift cutouts, shackle mounts/recovery points, LED light bar mounts, etc. Once you have this list, you can figure out who's making a bumper to meet your needs.

The pain in the butt is when you needs change. :) But, so long as you haven't destroyed the bumper, there's a good chance you'll sell it.

When its all said and done. The Apex, w/ powder coat, shipped comes out close to the same price. It is somewhat cheaper however. What some people don't know is that when you add powder coating from the shop, it also jacks up the shipping cost because they are liable for scratches on the powder coat, so they have to wrap it up w/ a lot more packing material.

EDIT: So rattle can it at home =)

I completely agree with your edit, you can always touch it up, whether its a scratch or a bruise, not so much when its powder coated

Lots of good choices out there. Pelfreybilt offroad is great one. All-Pro is pretty good. Relentless Fabrication is another. Then you have ARB front bumper. All comes down to a few things

    1) what's your budget
    2) what's your timing for wanting the bumper. Some places stock bumpers some take a few weeks, some take 6+ months if you don't mind waiting for a certain one then ok
    3) steel or aluminum? Goes in tandem with cost. But do you want lightness or strength
    4) for the rear: high clearance bumper where you cut the bedsides or just direct replacement. Then swing out or no?
    5) style and appearance

For me shop around and don't be afraid to call a few places up. Most will throw a deal your way when you do a big buy at once, such as front and rear bumpers or some sliders/skid plates. And you'll get a deal on shipping for sure. Lot of places have improved their customer service lately. Satin from Pelfreybilt is always a pleasure to talk with. Eric is pretty fast answering stuff for Relentless and Tracy from All Pro are good to. Lot of other good ones out there but those are the guys I've delt with.
