Well the resistor plugs into the passenger side H4 headlight spot which is unused once you do the retrofit. I'm pretty sure it is just a load resistor to fool the system into thinking there is a headlight plugged in. Anyway I put the grease in the headlight socket when I plugged in the resistor which I'm not convinced was a good idea.

But yeah, once I did the retrofit the blue headlight indicator on the dash doesn't come on so I accidentally high beam oncoming traffic on the road sometimes.

Huh maybe that is why mine doesn't light up. Thought it was a dead bulb.

If you don't have a retrofit then it probably is a bad bulb.

Do you remember where you got it? I see some other cheap ones on ebay and then there is one from VLED with a nice heat sink for about $20.

I wonder if 2003 was the first year they had the burned out headlight sensor installed.

I have hid, so only one socket sends a signal to turn the hid on and flick on high beem. I'll look into it, but isn't a big concern if that isn't the fix.

Anybody running a limit strap using the sway bar mount? I'm trying to work out the strap length and the anchor point for the clevis bracket.

I didn't do anything except write the check, but today CC4WD in Santa Cruz refreshed all the maintenance items on my newly acquired Tacoma ('01 Xtracab 4x4 V6 TRD SR5). That includes the timing belt, water pump, other belts, air filter, plugs & wires, engine/tran/diff oil, and 4 new shocks. They also pronounced the rest of the truck safe and sound. So, now I'm good to go.

    Thanks to Greg & Scott.

True I was hoping he was a turdgenner, but I still need to spread the hate around.

I've always heard it's a good idea to use it on electrical connectors, but I could be wrong.

Why do you need to limit stock lower arms. They pretty much limit themselves.

Well the only droop stops are the steering tie rods and contact between the UCA and the coil. I don't really want either. The LCA would just hang straight down from the bolts if there was nothing to stop it.

Also every time I jack up the front I need to almost max out my jack before the tires come off the ground and my CV boots don't like it much. I don't plan on doing any jumping but the straps would prevent everything overextending when I jack up the front.

Sounds like where you'd be having those where anytime you extend the front much you have a really harsh stop when it maxes. Cause at most you have about 1.5in of droop before the tie rods stop it without the strap so with the strap you don't have much down travel left.

I guess it is a pretty cheap experiment but your ride gets exponentially worse with the less down travel you have available. Because it'll limit on just about everything at your ride height. Unless you have stupid amounts of travel like a long travel setup. Maybe I'm wrong though, kinda be cool if it worked without making the ride rough.

My buddy got a pair from eBay for $250 silver we installed in his 03 dc in the middle of August 2015 and he took the truck hunting almost every weekend they seem to be more stable and reliable than stocks I should say way better than stocks he was pretty damn happy about the purchase. Getty myself a pair soon to try on my 02 might not be the best but will see
