So I have my 2016 DCSB TRD Sport in Inferno on order. I should be getting it in 4-5 weeks. I HATE the factory rims. Not just the sport rims, all of what Toyota offers. I currently have the SCS Stealth 6 rims in bronze on my 2013 DCSB in Indigo Ink Pearl. They look great but I don't think the bronze rims will look good with the Inferno color (dealer doesn't want aftermarket rims on my trade).

So I am thinking of getting a set of black (matte or gloss) on my new truck. Curious as to what my options are. Shoot me some of your favorites and include photos if you could. Also let me know where a good place is to work with. I might buy tires at the same time and sell the factory rims/tires after I get them.

    Let's see your choices!

Here's what I have on order. I looked for a good 2 weeks and these wheels look like what I wanted for the Metallic Grey TRD Sport.

There's a few folks around here with these wheels on older Tacos and I think they look great and they are an actual off road wheel so they can take a beating which is the main reason I went this direction. No sense getting "sport" wheels and bending them driving around town. I want something that will take a beating should mother nature or me decide to deal them a few extra blows be it on the streets or on the trails.

I know you mentioned you don't like what Toyota offers but the FJ Cruiser Trail Team wheels(matte black)i think would look real good on the new 3rd gen.!I have them on my 2012 and think they would look sweet on the inferno colored truck of your's!Good luck!

Seems weird your dealer doesn't want your aftermarket rims...

I was surprised. I have the SCS Stealth 6 in dark bronze. To me they look great! I still have the stock wheels with less than 5,000 miles so they will go on when I trade it in.

I have the same wheels/tires going with the fuel wheel tire setup I pointed to earlier... the stock sport wheels look nice but the tires are not anything I would feel comfortable with in deep snow or mud or well anything off road TBH. These are fine for highway driving ... I guess.

I also have an inferno trd coming. I've done the black wheel thing on most my cars, I'm thinking of going gunmetal this time. Think it would look good with the orange and be just a little different than all the black wheels I see now. I'm thinking the level 8 mk6 in gunmetal or the enkei m6 in gunmetal.

The stock truck comes with Summer tires... You have to get real snow tires if you live up north..!! Buy a set of 16" steel wheels and buy a tire with the outer diameter that will keep your speedo correct all winter.. worked for mw on the last one... saved $ doing it that way..

Check on the Toyota Of Dallas TRDparts4u website.I've had the FJ Cruiser Trail Team wheels on my truck for over two yrs and that's where i ordered mine from yrs ago.I'm not sure but they might still be available through them.Good luck!
