or, maybe use a ratchet strap. go around the shock and opposite side frame. should act as a puller.

 I would like to be able to put them back on.

I'll give the strap a try. Definitely did lots of banging, didn't budge.

Melt the bushing? thats what we had to do on a shock on the seat of the small boat we have on board the cutter here... and it was a fox shock, they dont last more than a year on the boat...

heated up the post that goes through the bushing and it melted the bushing enough to be able to pull it off... indirect heat worked best

It sounds like a great opportunity, and I wish I had taken the time to be better skilled at the trades than I am. Having a wide background with trade skills provides so many more paths in life.
It has been pretty quiet here anyway, you're not missing anything, may as well get the training while they pay you.

That pines water has taken too much from me already. Steering rack, calipers, throw out bearing... Staying out of that shit if I can help it anymore. I'll stick to the off camber climbs and what not but I'll avoid the pewp if I can.

Speaking of pewp, took the t case skid off:

I thought the leak stopped but it looks like the pewp has just been soaking it up.

I live in monmouth county and i drive to denville to get alignments. ETD discount tire. Davidtarrantino is a member here and works there.

If you do go to a local shop, make sure to ask them for a print out of the alignment specs, and make sure the steering wheel is centered when you get the truck back.
