Might sound odd, but anyone know the laws on importing motorcycles for street use?

 

Importing anything is hard. Too many emissions laws

 

I know of people doing it through Canada without too much trouble, but I think anywhere else is going to be much harder

 

I like the 914. 2.0 a 4 cyl? I know they made the 916-6 a 6 cyl.

 

Yes. They had the 914-4 which depending on the year and choice had a 1.7, 1.8 or 2.0 and then the 914-6, which had the 6 cyl.

My Dad had his from I think either 1984/5 to 1986. It was a $500 car pulled out of a field that was quickly sold for a station wagon. I have very few memories of it since I was a little kid, but that's one of the few pictures I do have.

 

A friend of mine has a 914 that he transplanted a 911 flat 6 engine into. Talk about scary fast!

I think it's just held on with adhesive. Tape off either side of them and take a heat gun to them

Came right off with a flat head. What size bolts fit in the holes that are covered?
