    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    the body lift has no impact on shock travel, besides, if the truck is strictly for show, it doesnt matter if it actually works offroad so shock travel wont matter as much as driveline modifications, regearing, and overall stabilization of the vehicle...

    although, going that high and changing your center of gravity, you may want to consider turning it into a trailer queen...

    but like i said earlier, you can always go solid axle, link front and rear, coilovers, and big tires...

    i dont think you will ever really find anyone willing to pay you what you dropped into the truck later though if you plan to do this up and flip it before you roll it though, but you never know...

    How old are you guys really? Im new to this tacoma stuff. i just bought it off craigslist and want to upgrade the suspension from the crap it has on now and make it unique. yeah it prolly will be unsafe for me to drive because im not even old enough to have my license....

    im 17, and trust me a 6 inch lift is all you need if not too much (its what i have and sometimes i regret it) a 3 inch suspension lift will be more than enough


    that being said since you arent old ewnough to even drive whos paying for the truck?

    we sold our RV and bought the tacoma for 12K and i have 3K left over to do as i please with so i wanna upgrade suspension. i didnt know if buying individual components such as spindles CO's etc.. or jsut doing a fabtech 6" and body lift would be the way to? i have no clue LOL

    and thanks for being a decent person about this....

    $3,000 isnt going to get you 12 inch's with big ass tires. Start smaller. Its safer too.

    steer clear from the body lift you will regret it, i instal them as a side job i know


    id reccomend a 3" suspension lift with new coil springs and shocks and a new leaf pack, that would be the best for 3k left over, what you are talking about would be 12k+ not to talk about all the customization needed any thing higher than a 6 inch suspension is a death trap on wheels, i have a 6 inch lift and quite often on the road i have moments where my asshole puckers up because i feel as if i am going to flip

    and how old are you, after you drive a truck thats lifted high the whole lifted higher crap gets old real quick
