EBC yellow pads. I've had them on several trucks now. They are great and not horribly expensive.

Looking at 16's while my 15 is being serviced this morning and a guy pulled up in a new canyon, wants his Tacoma back. Nice looking Z71 all black. Says it's a car with a bed. He said the truck has lost value so bad he's stuck. When I told him what they gave me for my 2014 SR5 he just shook his head.

But but I hear on this thread the Colorado is unbeatable in the sand compared to a 2016 Tacoma?

That's a port trim. What all does it come with? Is it the same as that other southeast trim that they used to have. I forget the name of it.

XP has wheels/tires, side rails not sure about the int but I'm thinking it's just an appearance package on the exterior. Lots of Tundras around with the XP logo on them in the Tampa area.

Yeah, like I said that's a port trim. Basically then some port is bulk buying rims and other bling to slap on to a select number of Tacoma's to make some easy profits.

The grill looks ok in person, huge gap between the radiator and the grill. Lots of room for ? Air ? No mud flaps on the 16's ? This is the first time I've seen them. No 4x4 here to look at but the SR 5 extended cab looks pretty cool and a decent price.

The extra space likely has to do with pedestrian and/or vehicle crash safety.

Maybe Toyota's plan was to use small children as crash bumpers but the DOT pooh poohed the idea?

In all likelihood, any mud or rain within a 20 mile radius will be swallowed up by the vast expanse of the grill, hence, no need for mud flaps.

    Head unit. That's it.
Its so that you can mount full size headlights behind the grille. Instead of just driving lights....

Funny, but imo the 16' SR grill has the more stealth look compared to the others. Thinking of getting rid of the OR's chrome eye sore...

Hmm, pics? Not familiar with porterfield...don't hate. Does it take heat to make these work? I was ready to put the TRD front pads on mine and the Toyota tech advised against it. Said you needed to have them warm to work correctly and that at the track they worked great. On the street, not so much.

Go with EBC. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. If you want them for just a slight upgrade with no noise, go to their green stuff SUV pads. If you want to stop on a dime and don't mind a little dust than the yellow stuffs are your friend. I went to yellow stuffs on both my Tacoma and Ram and the difference is night and day. On the Ram 2500 with a load I felt like the brakes were too soft especially with a load. Now I get stopping power the moment I touch the brake without the system feeling touchy. The nice thing about EBC's stuff is that it has a great break in compound too so you don't have that shitty just installed brake feeling from their performance stuff. They also won't eat the factory rotors so you don't need to spend the money on slotted aftermarket stuff for a while.

You do have to burn them in when new, just a few 60mph-20mph hard stops beds them in. After that they work great even in subzero temps.

EDIT: Just looked up some more on the R4 compound, and noticed they make shoes (drum brakes) with the same compound. It would be interesting to try a set of R4 compound shoes and see how they do... http://porterfield-brakes.com/images/portrace2008_11_06_02_43_53.pdf
