Right. Bead locks are illegal on the road

I think the factory wheels are just fine, keeping them after the lift. It also means I do not have to struggle to find wheels with OEM offset.

hmm, then just use the factory's for winters I guess.
Get a separate set for offroad.

During the week I'd only be doing city driving, so no need for an all terrain tire. I'd just have three sets like I have now. 1 For everyday summers, 1 for winters, and in this case right now, one for track tires.

Rather not have a tire that will ruin fuel efficiency in the city

Factory offset isn't necessarily what some want with larger tires. Less offset keeps the tires away from the control arms and other components.

thats why I was looking at the TRD ones, at least I wont need to screw around looking for offset or need an adaptor.

for off road, given the factorys arent beadlock I'd look into something that is, but I'm looking at the TRD alloys for city driving, not off road. I'd love to run Volks, Rayes or Works. but those are all racing rims, they don't make them in a 6 bolt pattern.

Volks will make 6lugs if you pay them enough. $700-900 per wheel

at that price, I may as well just buy ADV.1 lol

I'll need to look into it I guess. I was mostly looking for pics of the TRD alloys on the tacoma. I see them on the options list and like them, but thought they might not look to good on the truck.

True. I like factory offset because I don't like the extra stress on my wheel bearings.

Was thinking about going bronze TRD bead lock, but have changed my mind to SCS SR8 Matte Dark Bronze. Yes, it's a faux bead lock, but they are bad ass looking, good quality wheel and they stand behind their products. 16x8 for $165 is a great deal and will make for a great Christmas present.

I have these on my 2015, and bought the 5 TRD Bronze Beadlock wheels and 5 Cooper ST/MAXX for under 2,000 total. 1700.00 just for wheels? That is total robbery.

They look larger than they are because they are closer to the camera, just sitting in front of the mounted tire. Look closely and you can see the old wheel is still on the truck.

at first when I saw them as the option I thought no way, now they grew on me, even more so after seeing them on the truck. Love the look, Dunno if I would use them for off roading though.
