Thanks. And yes, things hurt a lot worse and more often. Damn, it sucks gettin old. Or should I say getting older.? I guess it is better than the alternative, though.

Have to take their word on that, unless you know any way to get perspectives from both sides of the issue?

LOL. The html links seem to be screwed up on this or I would have quoted the original MOD question too, that is who this is geared too but love the sarcasm. 57 years young here, leave in a few hours to hunt ruff grouse between the North Shore of Lake Superior and Canada. Ripped out the rear seats and put a platform in for the dog. A Hi-Lift fits in there perfectly in the back and the guns in the front of it, but as you get older you check things out first and find you don't need the Hi-Lift so much. One of the benefits of "old age". The sliders are offset 0 degrees eventually you don't want to pivot off rocks so much but prevent damage to the body on lateral slides into a tree when the 2 track is iced over. Expanded steel helps the dog in and out.

I have a lot of tents, including shower and chitter tents. I have found a half platform which matches your inseam is better than a full slide out platform that fits 2 people. If your taking a companion along I highly recommend finding a cabin instead. And this year finally found one that has... wait for it... indoor plumbing with showers and flush toilets! But if it is just myself and the dog will sleep in the back of the truck.

As you get older Steroid shots help a lot but are limited over time and how many your can get. Yeah some things hurt but many other things get better too as you get older, if your gain wisdom and do it smarter. If your lucky you will find out ;)

You know I have been told that once you turn 60 getting lucky means you don't have to get up to go pee even once at night. Wait that may have been 50? Damn I can't remember... :( I don't believe everything I hear though!

Unfortunately, I have something new. I had to have urgent surgery Thursday night to remove a testicular tumor. I believe all will be fine now once I get past the pain period. All  welcome!
