I need to update again.....5400 miles on the clock. bars are installed. Getting a new rear tire next week, hopefully ordering my MRD exhaust, and getting my stainless brake lines installed.

Ordered motul rbf600 synthetic brake fluid with my bars but when i got the package there was a huge hole in it and the brake fluid bottle was gone. Emailed thumpertalk support about it and got an email this morning that basically said, sorry usps fucked up, we're sending another bottle right now.

I got the MRD initially with no other motor mods.
Biggest difference (besides the volume) I saw was it pulled all the way to the rev limiter.
Previously, I had never hit the limiter because the "pull" dropped off to the point that I shifted prior.

I can totally see that. Everyone tells me to quit short shifting. I shift when i feel the need.

New rear tire installed. So much better.

    Synthetic brake fluid in hand.

Exhaust, jet kit, air filter, 3x3 mod, and brake lines should be on next month.

Need to update again. Only a few more weeks until i have my exhaust.

Loving the new bars, grips, and aluminum throttle tube.

Now i want a better headlight/aux lights for night riding. Stock just isn't cutting it.

Also, i'm about 20 miles short of 6k

    Wut.

The throttle tube? Negative. No need.

Just went with aluminum so that i don't have to buy a new plastic throttle tube every time i need new grips

You mean how much it flops around on the bars? Nope. I'm told none do. I don't mind it. Its like extra cushion

Build it up with black electrical tape if it bothers you.

Got my tracking number from Dave at MRD Racing, should have my exhaust next week.

Just ordered EBC sintered brake pads front/rear, and a 3.25/21 Kenda K270 front tire.

Also just washed the bike, cleaned/lubed my chain, scrubbed my stock air filter, dried it, and oiled it....that was long over due. The bike runs so much better with a clean air filter :anonymous:

Dave's a real good dude. And that pipe is top notch craftsmanship too.

It'll seem like the head pipe won't go in. You have to turn/maneuver it just right. Basically, I think they made it as large as they possibly could and still mount it.

I ordered it with the quiet insert and spark arrestor. I'll be kind of annoyed if its no quieter than the zpro.
