So guys with 265/75 am I right when I say +4% for Speedo/ODO? So at 100 miles I've actually gone 104 miles? At 70mph I'm going about 73-74?

There is a "calibrate" button on the radio's GPS settings for new tires. I pressed it after I had the BFG's installed, but I'm not sure if it will actually correct any difference caused by the slightly larger than OEM tire size. I'm going to test with a handheld GPS and I'll report back.

You dudes with the new trucks; are the transfer case and front axle ADD actuators any different than the 2nd gen? Just curious.

brought the truck home and had an odor like something was burning. Is this normal for a new truck and to eventually dissipate?

I didn't believe it when I read it. I don't think Toyota will let the customer do that

miscalculation of what? They won't let you change the speedometer or odometer inputs

Not sure. I think what it is getting at is, to use that for when you replace an old stock-sized tire with a new stock-sized tire. The difference being no tread and full tread. I don't know. It seems pretty vague. Seems if it would be calibrating for a new tire size it would ask you what that size is, and it's not....

I'll hook up my gps for the next 200 miles and see what happens. Maybe it's based off the GPS? It is pretty vague.

I'm fairly certain that's just for the GPS dead reckoning (tunnels, parking garages, etc) and won't alter speedometer or odometer readings.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I was out late with the family. Xjuice posted what I was referring to. I still haven't tested the speedometer against a handheld GPS. I'll do that as soon as I can.
