@ 0:32 he says stock front shocks can be used with a 4 inch lift? Any one know if this is true? If so, a cheap higher quality lift could be accomplished my simply adding a taller coil. I'm thinking OME 885 or 886 coils with the stock shocks?

Agreed but spacer or coil lift should not matter should it. My question is if the front shocks are truly long enough for a lift of 3 inches couldn't a person just add a taller coil and leave the stock shocks for a low cost higher quality lift?

I find it hard to believe this is the case. Nor would I want to try to run stock shocks with a taller coil.

I find it hard to believe as well . That's why I asked. I feel bad for the guy that buys that truck in the video with a 4 inch spacer and stock shocks. No wonder lots of people think lifted trucks ride terrible.

Still don't really know what I'm gonna do with it yet. I'll likely replace it at some point when there are some good options available.

Good on you for giving something different a try. What do you have in the works? If you are looking for something between a full Icon kit and a spacer, try and Old Man Emu set up. About a $1,100 in parts and great quality. There were some fitment issues on the OME rear shocks for 2015 MY. Not sure if that got corrected in 2016 or not.

I've got something real cool lined up. I'm not gonna tell you guys until I have it completed and back so I can post pics and you can ask. I spent a lot of time and research using advice from you all and what you like and don't like so hopefully this will be something you all will think is cool.
