I just found this picture searching my albums. forgot about it. kind of defines the saying "let's go places" for me.

Love that area. We always stay at Horn Lake for a base camp because it seems to be the only place you can go in the Chilcotin that doesn't have a tonne of mosquitos in the summer.

never been but I did just search it. I will check it out one day. thanks. the mosquitos were not that bad for me at chilko. I was up there at the end of July. if that matters. I've only lived in BC for awhile now. originally from Manitoba. talk about mosquitos.. ew.

Took the taco on a hunting trip with my brother. Here's it before we got to the mountains:
    20151019_110007[1].jpg
And here it is at the top of the mountain:
    20151019_183137[1].jpg
2 wheel drive works pretty great. Never have had to use 4 wheel drive before so I'm curious what it will handle like when I do. Having my brothers fat cat in the bed really takes up a lot of space, thinking of making or finding a small trailer to haul behind for that sort of thing.

Thanks man. It really is! We were hunting elk and deer. I have a bull, buck, and cow tag. My brother filled his cow tag that trip last week.

I made some decent progress on the swap today. Now I need to rig up a cab hoist from my ceiling to aid in mounting. I need to order a new fuel tank for behind the rear axle and radiator for the bed. The frame will need cleaned up and painted too. Everything is going as planned so far.

I'm from Nampa but I'm hunting Hells Canyon by Riggins this season. Really steep stuff but beautiful out there.
