    What's the deal with the Allegheny National Forest? I'd like to head up sometime next year as well. I see that I'll need a permit. Has anyone here ever been? Are the "ATV" trails for 4x4 vehicles?

    Lotsa shit.
    It litterally is the most restricted area around here for hundreds of miles. I mean you can snowmobile and ride atvs in certain areas, but as far as I know you can not do anything with a full size vehicle. The only thing you can do with a car is what they call "scenic driving." It is a great area if you want somewhere to kill a week or so, there is a ton of stuff to do like you can rent full cabins and stuff.

    I guess you weren't with our 4 hour Saturday tour that took 8.5 hours?? We had several flats up on the mountain! Had to cut small trees down to get around some of the "blue " trails that were somewhat black for stock rigs!
