What's up with this plastidip I'm hearing about. Just got done painting my emblems and I liked the way it worked out. I painted my grille however and the clear coat put some spots of a gray haze and it pisses me off. I'm gonna have to start over. Anyone care to ellaborate a lil bit.

Plastidip is like a plastic spray paint that is peel able if you don't like it. Paint is better. You may just need to buff that clearcoat or wetsand it and re clear coat

:DAfter spending yesterday (saturday) in the woods, today was spent cleaning up the Tacoma. Interior first. We got dust bombed....So everything needed cleaning. Then a wash and clean the outside. I got a couple new "pinstripes" that rubbed out with wax. I swear the truck seemed "happier"! This is the most flexing the suspension has seen since I got it almost a year ago. It seemed to drive quieter....Good arguement/rationalization to take 'em 4 wheelin', huh? And I think the happy truck has more "attitude" now! When I stopped at the gas station, 2 different people walked up to me and started asking questions....One asked about what all I'd done to it, and the other guy was asking questions because his 17 year old son wanted a Tacoma when he turns 18...(My dad gave me a Timex watch and told what time to be at work the next day when I turned 18....My how times change)

The first real serious offroading in almost 20 years has me pumped up right at the moment. Can't wait to hit the woods again!

Sure does....My wife says I've been strutting around like a teen ager all day long. I'm happy with my truck. It turned out to be a more capable off roader than I thought it would be. I'm happy that my wife enjoyed our 4-wheeling trip as much as she did. I'm happy that we had the opportunity to meet 3 VERY nice young men that went along with us. They're all 3 younger than our own son. It's good to know the world will be in the hands of people like this some day when we're gone. I'm happy that my "project/Hobby/truck" is interesting to others. Most of all, I'm happy to be a part of something bigger....a hobby/passion that others share that brings good people together. The off road community as a whole is some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

    Yeah, It feels good!

Yikes. Plastidip works best for the badges. I dipped my grille chrome white, and ive had bugs knock some off and chrome now shows through.
