Lol been there. No preworkout that I've tried has an effect on me. I kinda get some energy, but not really. I've tried finaflex stimul8

I had good results from c4, and my co workers used various types like mr hyde and other hi grade ones. I worked at gnc part time mainly for the discount, and scored 3 months worth of expired goodies lol

I've never tried c4. Just skipped over it since everyone seemed to start on it lol.

Tried bullnox, no good. Tried top secret, not amazing. Use finaflex stimul8 now, it's ok.

Well i kept trying more. At once. I had a sample optimum nutrition preworkout pouch, 2 scoops of c4 and 3 scoops of mri black power in 10ish ounces of water. Like 6 or 7 servings. Last time i had any lol.

Usually takes me 3 scoops of C4, but I'm pretty much immune to caffeine..many years of drinking way too much soda..

C4 is pretty much for taste and mental boost at this point, I use to get the tingles and itch but even that stopped.

So, I've only been taking one "rest day" a week lately. My Routine has been Sun: Legs, Mon: Chest/Tris, Tues: "Rest" Wed: legs of some sort/back/Bis, Thurs: shoulders, Fri: Legs. Sat: Chest/Tris, etc, etc, etc.

But, my "rest day" is really me going to play volleyball for 3 hours. I'm feeling a lot stronger on all my lifts lately. My main question is: how long do all you experts think I should go on with this routine before I take a little more rest? My legs feel a ton stronger after hitting them 3 days a week, for now. My vertical seems to have gone up, as well. I'm 5'8" and can grab the rim on a 10 foot basketball goal. A couple months ago, I was a couple inches from even touching the rim.

I think it's hard to "overtrain". If you're only hitting legs once a week, it's only 52 times a year, and your gainz will be minimal. My legs have always been weak and small, so I decided to do something about them 3 days a week. My first leg day of the week will be something like Back squats, hammy curls, leg extensions, calves. Then 2 days later I might do deadlifts (I think of them more of a leg exercise), then 2 days later I'll do heavy front squats, lunges, goblet squats, stiff leg deads.

What about lifting before work? Just go to bed and wakeup a little earlier. This way when you get home you can relax and enjoy the rest of the night.

I'm in week 4 or 5 of the 5x5 program and it's 3 days of legs. I love that aspect of it but I don't like that I am only lifting 3 days a week. I used to do 6 days and rest Sunday but play flag football so I wasn't truly resting. Now I lift MWF. TTH I have been playing golf or at the least hitting the driving range so I'm not stagnant those days. Sunday I still play flag football but Saturdays are usually pretty restful aside from walking my dog.

I'm going to give 5x5 some more time but I've been thinking of taking the good stuff from it (3 leg days a week) and incorporating it into a longer workout week.
