Me=Ricer. I don't let it inflate my ego I just look down on those that drive an automatic off-road by choice.;)

Thats a complete miss use of the word ricer and I dont have an inflated ego, I just dislike automatic transmissions and the way that people now want cars to drive for them. It just promotes more distracted driving. When you actually have to pay attention to what gear you in you have to pay more attention to the road. Now though we have cars that park them selves, stop them selves, and now drive them selves, now all we need is the car to steer for us and we'll be good to go.

I wish more people would learn, I wish you couldn't get your license without learning, and also should have to know how to change a tire, the world is just full of completely incompetent people nowadays.

This I agree with, I test drove a 16 TRD sport 6 speed and even on perfect level ground going 65 in 6th gear the shifter was vibrating all over the place.

If that is infact what ricer means I'll wear that badge with honor and promise to never get excited when Crawl Control is needed to get up a 30 degree rock. Right back at you .

That's where you are wrong. I do not think an Auto is inferior, I just think a manual is superior. Big difference. And of course this is all in good fun. With the current mood in the third gen forum I better clarify that before someone reads this thread and interprets my post as calling his grandma a whore.

Actually I know that auto is superior as far as performance and even in many cases now with milage I just think it makes people lazy and not pay attention as much. Driving stick makes you more intune with your car and makes driving more enjoyable.

    I'm right there with you.

I tend to zone out unless I have some sort of constant mental task, so I love manual. Being on a motorcycle is similar as all the body control forces focus.

Forcing someone to pay attention by making them shift makes them a better driver.
Lol you realize the majority of trailer trucks on the road are stick right? And its because the drivers prefer it, they make auto trailer trucks but they are very unpopular.

Exactly! The sad thing is that now their even making auto motorcycles, such a shame.

Companies may buy autos but you will barely see an owner/operator of a tractor with one because they prefer driving stick.

whooo yore a hoot! Too bad you're wrong, huh? Did you see that protractor post a bit ago? I did. Plus the lean on the camera, 30° tops.

Then there's the post with the Humvee crawling a 90° incline. So...... What was your point again? That crawl control can less-than-smoothly get a truck up a 40°!!! (30°) incline that anyone with a truck in 4L can walk up sans technology.

My post was in response to someone else dude. you decided to get snarky responding to me when I wasn't talking to you anyway. You're allowed to be a very casual off-roader and impressed by that video (?) but for a lot of us it really isn't that special or for some others of us it tells the exact opposite story of how awesome it is. Which is fine. Which is why I *sigh* and move on :)

Was stuck in some mud/clay for about 5 minutes and could not get out for the life of me. Threw the crawl control on it got me out in less than a minute. Could also because I don't usually deal with mud and I suck...
