    But can you tell me, does the first digit of the VIN, which indicates Baja or TX, ever change when the VIN switches from Temporary to Actual? If the Temporary VIN indicates Baja, will the Actual VIN ALWAYS show Baja?

    Your truck must have an actual vin now because it's not pulling up with the temp vin.

    Possibly. It depends on when your built date was. It's probably in freight status meaning it has a delivery date. Call and ask the dealer for the actual vin. Say it's for insurance.
