Yeah, Mr Tim got a good deal on his. I think I paid a bit more. Something like $130 + shipping. Did you even look at the links I posted?

 

The info at that ttora link is supported by what I was told by the Canadian mechanic that did the second fix on mine. If you have the e-locker, you have an ABS axle and associated compoments, even if the truck does not have ABS. Is it my imagination but the non-TRD/ABS axle looks beefier/larger diameter compared to the elocker/TRD/ABS axle. Maybe its the lighting in those pics.

Anyone happen to have a set of 2nd gen LCA laying around? I put my ome kit on this weekend only to find 3 out of 4 alignment cams are rusted into the bushings.

 

@SconnieHailer might have some but I think he would be the only one in Wyoming. Maybe Steve but I can't remember if he replaced his. Check in the Colorado BS thread if we can't help you.

 

Thanks! I was hoping he might as I saw he had swapped his. I might not end up needing them but it would be nice to have a set ready invade I mess mine up trying to get the bushings out.

I have a set. One of the cam bolts was seized in the bushing and cut to remove.

My plan was to refurb this set with new bushings/cam bolts and possibly reinforce. Then have them on hand for spares or swaps if people had seized cams.

I haven't yet done that so these aren't quite ready to go but they can be worked on while leaving the truck driveable until ready to swap.

I'm not wanting to get rid of them but if it would help you maybe we could work something out to swap with yours?

Also curious how you managed to seize 3 of the 4... I understand the ones where the cams are on a sleeve but it would seem to me that it would take a LOT of rust to seize the ones where the cams are on a bolt.

 

I'm not sure, I also wouldn't have thought the rear one would rust in there. With a breaker bar I'm able to get some movement out of it, but it must just be twisting the rudder as it tries to go back. 8 years old and only 60k it may never have been aligned, so who knows.

Where are you located? We might be able to get something figured out, and get them back to you.

Im sure they are at least 8lbs heavier if not more. Not sure that matters much..Cutting weight down...not my forte..haha

 

So, 16x7 eh? FWIW, my steelies are 32/33 lbs I think.

I like the 255/85-16s idea. Definitely narrow/less weight. You really think they'll be a full inch taller? I am sure they are taller than 33x10.5-15s on an 8" wide rim but I was guessing .5-.75" at most.

I like the countersteer Xs but they are the wrong offset/bs and I don't want to run a spacer. I think they weigh less than 20 lbs.

 

Plus tire choices are km2s or st maxxs I think..
