AXLE WRAP! replacement springs are equally weak as the factory units, especially the Dorman brand.

1.RE-TORQUE your u bolts first seeing as the springs were just installed.

2.Grease the drivetrain, especially the rear slip shaft, load that bitch up with grease.

3.Try the u-bolt clamp method as outlined in the "good bye axle wrap" mod. This "mod" is only a temporary solution, the springs continue to weaken over time.

4.Another option is to install an overload or helper spring, this will firm up the leaf pack, but also firm up the ride.

5.Invest in some aftermarket springs from Wheeler's Offroad or General Spring.

4Runner Trail wheels and Toyo Open Country ATII tires 265-70-17. Cosmetic stuff like Pro grille and OffRoad black bumper trim, vinyl delete on side, added hood graphic, OEM tube steps.
My Dorman replacements had no positive effect on the axle wrap and actually introduced banging and clunking that causes me to have to lube them up every few weeks to maintain my sanity.

Dumb question, have you checked your rear brakes for oil on the pads? My drivers side rear axle seal is a bit gone allowing just a few drops of diff oil onto my pads. When I come to a hard stop the pads burn onto the drums and when I release the pedal the only thing that pulls them off the drum with a clunk is the return spring.

I did think it was axle wrap as well except Im running full OME as of 3 months ago and suffered from it before the install.
