Update on rubbing areas, check original post

Thanks for the compliments on the pics, the white is extremely photogenic and I try hard to get some different angles and settings.

Looks good. I just went with the same tires (from 265/75/16 BFG M/T) and couldn't be happier with them.

Tree hugger, have you installed the spacers yet? If so what are the pros/cons of them? If 285s fit with just minor rubbing, I'm inclined to not use any. But if they make a huge improvement, then maybe I'd go with them.

20151023_163336.jpg Hello, i am new but have been reading for a little bit on this site. I did order a 1.5 level to be able to fit 33" tires, after seeing this post im thinking about trying it out before i install. I come from a long line of gmc's with 35" tires, this is my first taco and i am excited!

I'm right behind you. Which one of our two options are you going with?

I'm assuming you're talking about KM2's and ST Maxx? We have a 3rd option but I don't know anyone that has run them yet. Dick Cepek Extreme Country.

    Nice pics OP!

Yes, I don't consider the Cepeks a viable option.

Looks great! Are you planning on adding a lift or wheel spacers, or are you not experiencing any rubbing?

Very very minimal rubbing at full lock, i did order a 1.5 aluminum level. But i am considering a full 2 in lift with shocks and all.

So minimal rubbing at full lock on level pavement? If you were going over bumps off road does it seem like it would rub a lot? I've got the same tires going on mine later this week with adjustable 5100s that I plan to raise the front 1in with. Wondering if that will be enough to prevent rubbing off road, or if I should throw in wheel spacers too.

I would definitely go with the lift instead of the aluminum spacers if you plan on offroading . You won't regret it! If you tracked you fuel economy with the stock tires, it would be interesting to see the difference with the bigger tires.

Also, I'm not sure if you saw another Thread about adjusting a setting in the Nav for the larger tires. Will be interesting to see if it adjusts your Speedo too, and if not, how much it's off by.

No rubbing on bumps but i would recommend a small lift in the front, my friends that own mechanic shops frown upon spacers due to saftey. I dont really know what they mean but i listen haha.

    Surprised someone with a Sport or 17"wheels hasn't tried the KO2 LT275/70R17/E 121 R. Might be a good compromise.
