They'd have to pay me to take a vehicle with that hideous color.

Works OK on the new Taco, but not on a 4R. The clear coat is too glossy for it. It's not matte enough. Even then... Beige.

Wish these beasts weren't so pricey. I really want one for my husband. But it would become a mod money pit just like my truck and we can only afford one of those.

Is the Quicksand color reserved for the DCSB 4x4 only?

I'm glad Toyota is offering Quicksand in a couple platforms. They had it on the FJ, and I have seen quite a few of them around. Now you can pick your poison. SUV or pick up.

In my old age, I'd almost prefer Quicksand, as it isn't so flashy. Probably why I have Lunar Mist now. Although, the red on 1st gens and the white on 2nd gens are both really good looking when done up well.

However, I almost feel if you buy a Quicksand Tacoma, you are almost advertising that your truck is close to crap.

There's a TRD Sport Access cab 4x4 MT local at a dealership. Been there 2 weeks. Can't get into the color.

I honestly thought the quicksand would be nasty. It was the last color I thought I'd like. Thought it would look like a hearing aid. But, after seeing in person, it just works. Especially on the 4Runner with black rims. Photos really never capture the color right. I was positive I would go with a dark grey. Now I'm not too sure.

God, I'd love to be able to put my own graphic inside that space where the quicksand paint is. Something a little red, white, and blue-ish, then clear coated to high heaven.

But since I like chrome, I'll probably stick with the factory barbecue grate.

I think the wrinkle finish over the whole grille would look good....insert any color you'd like....especially the stars and bars....
