It's less Tacoma and more mod
Well yesterday I went and wheeled for a bit with my roommate. The place where the wheel got off the ground is ultra steep and in just the length of the truck drops a few feet. Got really off camber in a few areas and I've come to the conclusion the truck has to get lower to get more flex. So I'm planning stage two of my build...

The plus side is that my front flexes upward really nicely, the downside is that it doesn't have a lot of down travel. And the rear has quite a bit of up travel as well (unloaded) and has a bit of down travel too but I'd like to see more of each. So I'm in the planning stages for a new rear end setup and I'm not too sure on the front yet (still have to ask some questions about some stuff :spy:)

I also got lucky at a garage sale and picked up some good items...

Built a lift for the RTT. About $100 in parts. And 3 trips to the hardware store. I added one of those hand crank winches to make it a real luxury item.

Put Bilstein 5100's on Pearly today, set the fronts in the middle and it leveled out with the stock rear leafs. The bottom bolts are the most frustrating thing to do when you're by yourself and don't have the right equipment. The ride is a lot better, not as shaky over bad pavement.

It be a lot nicer if it was on my truck instead of the shelves collecting dust.

You should send this picture in to SC for shits and giggles. They may put it in their gallery. It's a cool pic, whoever took it has a good eye.

Have same situation. 4 bolts are rusted inside knuckle for LBJ. Are these bolts made for an Allen wrench?? Looks like they all have indents. Haven't tried to take them out yet. Need ideas. Will take photos. I am determined!!!!!

the bolts are 12 or 14mm wrench/socket, not Allen. spray them down with PBlaster or WD-40 Rust release and let them soak for awhile (or do it for days)

Tried ratchet but they are so rusted they lost their shape. Hence the indent and I thought they were for allen....will have to take photo and PB them for a while. Maybe vice grips. Who knows. Or I just got with replacing spindle and knuckle

Two of mine rounded out when I tried to take them out. Ended up smashing a 13 mm socket on and they came out

I believe they have sockets that are design to remove stripped nuts and bolts. Perhaps try that.
