Pfft not organic, don't want it. That lettuce could have suffered trauma from the fields. Lettuce has a heart too right?

Accidents happen. He fessed up to it and isnt trying to hide it or make it seem like he didn't fuck up. That is the definition of a man. I would be happy to have a friend like that. I have had people break my shit and make it seem like it was always that way, or I must of done it somehow....those arent people I care for in my life.

I get it sucks, but to make someone look like a piece of shit over an accident says a lot more about you than it does them.

Just saying I was careful with my dad's truck...always. I respected it and him. But I broke a mirror backing it out of our narrow garage. Doesn't mean I wasn't careful. It got in that garage so it should come out when I back right out. I bought the OEM mirror housing and fixed it myself. Which it seems like he is doing. However it seems like you have your mind made up about it...

That's a lot of hate for someone who let someone (who he previously called friend) borrow his truck. You knew this was a possibility, right? I don't borrow things from friends and I don't loan things out for exactly this reason. I also don't keep friends who ask me to borrow things all the time.

So be it. Guilty as charged. As I mentioned before, I take pride in taking care of my things, even more so when I'm borrowing something from someone else. Clearly he did not. It wasn't the first time he pulled out of his drive way.

Pretty sure this was just a good outlet for OP to vent. Truck is only a year old so it's still in the "hey I have a new truck" phase. I take no issue with the bitching about it.

Thank you for understanding. Seems like no one else did, but you got the message. Just venting because I'm annoyed. It's a new truck still basically, my first brand new car purchase, which I have been trying to take care of really well, and to have this happen just kills the buzz.

You're pretty much the shittiest friend I have ever seen.

Sorry your truck got dented. Hopefully for him, you cut your losses and end this "friendship."

to play both sides of this argument... how the duce did he do that in his drive way on a wood fence... he did have the balls to come outright with it and not try to hide anything as well, already having quotes is a major step in the right decision.

@Ostrichsak I dig the new sig man!!!

I watched my father back into a tree the other day. Took out a taillight and put a good sized dent in his Subaru. He doesn't get to drive my truck.

Dude, you have to assume the risk when you let someone drive your truck

Next time just say no. Sure people might think you're selfish but you wouldn't be going through what you're going through right now.

Someone earlier in this thread use the comment I always use when people ask me to use my truck "Can I use your wife/daughter/girlfriend for my needs as well?"

To each his own opinion I guess. Thought for sure people around here were a lot friendlier and more understanding, but guess not.

Obviously the only person here that understood anything about anything was diverdale.

He's really bad with vehicles. He bought that car with it looking as flawless as an '04 possibly could. New clutch, flawless interior, barely a scratch on the outside.

It looks like it's been through a war now (only a year later), and the last time I drove it, the clutch was grabbing awfully high. Probably a good thing he doesn't buy newer vehicles!

I know what you could do. Why don't you damage his car, let him know you did it, apologize, and put the repair through your insurance. Or maybe, you could accept his apology and move on.
