The savings has begun. I ran into a killer deal on some icon 2.0 rear resi shocks so that's a start. Next up is Dakars or an all pro expo leaf pack, then front suspension time. Might just get new springs and UCAs on my billies if I can't afford Coilovers by then. Also sliders need to be on by then... Wow it feels like a lot when I type out all the crap I need.

that's the big issue with pushing things back...sometimes you can get lucky, but most of the time june temps start rising into the high 90s more frequently which getting harsh in the dry desert climate under that sun

and unfortunately we can't make everyone happy with the timing...we usually try to weigh as many factors as we can and make the best choice given all factors, not just personal preferences...

You think I can't do it?? :burnrubber:

Haha if I can go or not is all going to depend on when exams are and how much money I spend at Stagecoach this year. I want to at least make it to one of those two events.

I hear ya. ...and I'm on 33s as well! I'm looking at all the trail "requirements" thinking how realistic they are, then I remember that there will probably be 5-6 guys behind me waiting for me to winch myself up a trail on my little tires...

I talked to a couple people who went with stock trucks and tagged along in other trucks on hard trails. Then they just drove their truck around the light stuff. I'm more concerned taking my truck if I can't get it fully armored by then.

Ugh that is the worst. I'm always worried that I'll be the one holding people up. I baby my truck way too much. It's my daily driver though and I can't afford to fix it quickly if it breaks!

There are some fun trails you don't need heavy armor for. There are plenty that will fuck your Shit up even if you are armored up. It depends on what your willing to put your rig through and a lot of it is having a good spotter.

Glad to hear it. I've just told myself no more armor until suspension is rebooted.

90% of the people at RT run 33s, so you'll be fine.

I'd like to go to the overland expo too but it's so close to RT that I don't think work would give me that much time off lol.

Good to know! If it turns out you can make it to the expo, hopefully there'll be a sweet tacoma camp set up...
