Any one need want awesome ground tent? I payed nearly $200 for a Kelty Acadia 4 person tent with matching footprint. Tent has two good size vestibules at both entrances for dry storage. Tent has two entrances which is cool. Used it twice, once in a rain storm. Never got one drop of water in it.

    $100 no bs price :)

Depends on how much 5.56 i can get reloaded. How much range do we have to play with out there?

Quite a bit. We shot a lot Friday night if I recall. I'm trying to finish building my Ar in time. But if we aren't going to be shooting a lot then I won't stress on it

I'm not familiar with the area. Can we safely get out to ~1000 meters? Would be nice to send some .308 down range

meh.... i mean the idea is cool and all. but why not always sleep on the ground? i understand it may be better for cold weather camping, because i dont do that.... so i wouldnt know..

but i just got a brand new tent from work for freeeeee ;)
sets up in 30 seconds and doesnt interfere with my nightly activities :)

Shooting is just random short range goofing around from feild position (offhand). Much of this is without regard to others hearing and not very safe IMHO. I never had an opportunity to shoot where it felt right last Spring. So bring your supressed toys!

Good to know. I'll pack light. I'd rather not waste expensive handloads.

X2. Don't think that there should be any shooting near camp. Always seems to happen but it just seems like a bad idea to me.

Let's just all use a little common sense/courtesy, respect others, and we'll have a good time. No worries.

I still think the benefit of size, ease of use, etc outweighs the pros of a ground tent. I've used ours once so far.. and already it is sooo much nicer camping.

also, to piggyback off of the others regarding shooting.. yes.. safety and common sense first. I have been on a couple trips where those were not present, and not only is it dangerous, it just makes it an awkward camping trip and time with others.

My guns will be staying int he truck (besides my carry) and will be used at a designated spot, safely. other than that.. IDC and anyone is welcome to shoot anything I ever bring! :D
