    Placed my order over 2wks ago, I just called them but they told me its not in their inventory...?so cant give me temp vin. They said thy did place the order about 2 weeks ago... I realize that getting the vehicle could take 8-12 weeks but reading this thread, people are getting temp vin after placing their order so....IDK how my situation is different.

    Since its a long wait, just thought i could at least "track" it. Maybe just a 1st workd problem & I just need to dont think about it.

    Okay it makes more sense now. They requested a vehicle for allocation and are waiting for the allocation to hit inventory. Suggest an "A" trade that might help.

    What does this mean? "Requested vehicle for allocation"
    How is my order different than how others are ordering? Is this a bad news, longer wait?

    Other orders are being made from dealer allocation. (Inventory assigned to dealer already) If your dealer did not have your specific truck then they are waiting for new allocation hoping it will be in that batch.
