Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

This was pre-woman, and we haven't been together long enough to need permission yet

 

I'm on the fence about gearing. My truck does pretty good pulling the boat now and I'm not sure I want Togo up to 35" tires I don't see the need to with 33" I don't want to be to slow on the hwyway.

 

I thought I'd ask here before going to the detailing thread....

It looks like I have rust spots on my hood. My neighbor may have been doing some metal work and the shards settled on the hood with the morning dew (I have no other explanation).

Any tips? I have a buffer so I'm going to try and buff it out, but if any one has some advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

 

medium grade clay bar should take it out. I recently removed similar from a friends mustang hood.

Damn I've got metal stuck in my back window from an unfortunate grinding accident and they've rusted while being stuck in there, gonna have to try this.

Alright, @bayareataco is letting me get at his old 4.10 front so I guess im looking for a rear 4.10 v6 8in if you guys see anything. Should do better burnouts with lower gearing now

 

You're positive you have 3.90's? Like you counted the teeth or did a spin test instead of reading the door jamb and looking up the code? There are a couple 4Runners at the pick n pull by me. Might be stoping by this week/weekend to check them out and may be able to pull a third for you.

 

Yeah, 3.90. 43/11. There's a crawler shop down the street from me he's pulling apart an axle tonight to see if he's got 4.10s for me, I don't want ya to go through all that effort but I appreciate it man. Also, he has a front clamshell with 5.29s that wasn't even broken in yet and his customer rolled the truck if anyone's interested!

 

I had a weird vibration and the vehicle would wander a bit on the highway. Got it aligned which was barely off and balanced the tires.

I think it vibrates worse.

 

Yeah totally. You're only going to have three firearms. I would really look into getting a Costco safe. If you have 9 ft.² to spare I would highly recommend getting something better.

Yea i'm really trying to figure it out right the first time. I know I don't have much space in my closet, so a thinner gun safe is ideal. I'm just worried about later down the road if I can't help myself but to buy more guns lol
