HID LED and LED lights everywhere and a 30" light bar in the bottom grille.
They didn't cross the start finish line for that first restart. That's how all short tracks are up in the midwest and that call makes sense.

That call made absolute sense EXCEPT they changed the starting lineup off of it. Can't have a half ass call like that IMO

I agree the lineup didn't make sense but the race does not start until the leader crosses the start finish line. I have a feeling they pulled out the rule where you must maintain caution speed in order keep your spot, which imo is pretty dumb when things like getting wrecked under a caution happens, but as far as nascar making the call to not start the race was the best decision for that situation.

I've had my fill of childish temper tantrum throwing rednecks for a little while, plus I have a class presentation that morning. I'm looking forward to attending more regional short track action next year. I'll Do Atlanta in the Winter and probably finally check out Bristol. I'm also eyeing the Indy 500 or returning to COTA for the F1 race. I'm waiting to see what rule changes Bernie institutes. I think it'd be great to do a TW meet up at Dixie Speedway next season.

Logano is my boy's boy, actually. I don't think I have a favorite anymore. I just want to see some good, hard racing. Unfortunately, what happened at the end of yesterday was hardly good. I hope NASCAR gets some dirt on the 4 and does something about it. All that crap went down right in front of us. Everybody around us was so confused and apparently unaware of the new GWC rule so we bolted out of there, took a back road through a high cotton field, crossed a cow bridge and skipped all the traffic.

You'd think a CUP team could afford some basic jack stands. Surely they've taken a safety training course at some point in their careers:

I realized last night that I was present for Jeff Gordon's first and last restrictor plate races ('93 Daytona 500, '15 CampingWorld 500)

This is what it's all about right here. Kid's first CUP race and his favorite driver wins. He was all pumped up until the Jr. Nation started falling out of the stands behind us.

"You don't have to be kid size to be childish."
These are the words I said to my toddler as we exited the track. We pushed through throngs of drunk, angry “fans” exhibiting the worst behavior. We witnessed adult men older than myself kicking, stomping, cussing and throwing trash everywhere. Here’s my toddler, a burgeoning motor sports fan; the young demographic who will predict whether this sport lives or dies, at his first CUP race, elated that his favorite driver won. And here is his sheer exuberance in this big experience being demeaned by all these drunk ass lowlifes. He actually said “dad I feel sad.” I don’t expect the NASCAR demographic to change, nor do I want it to change. I just want adults to grow the fuck up and handle their emotions as well as my four year old.

There was plenty of room during qualifying to move around. Stands were packed for the truck race. I was surprised that many folks showed up. Then again, they were practically giving tickets away to the truck race.

Watch the replays. First restart, nascar had time to throw a caution before the leader passed the start/finish. Second restart there wasn't enough time to bring a caution out before the leader hit the start/finish. I'm not a fan of dega, daytona, and 3/4 of the mile and a half tracks. Nascar should go around and race on local short tracks. It would be more interesting and it would help keep the local short tracks open. It would be great to see nascar travel to places like New smyrna, Sunny South, The vegas bull ring...ect.
