$11,250 for this truck at a local used car place:

    2004 Xtra cab, 2.7l, 5spd, SR5, one owner, 118K miles.

Carfax report is impeccable. Previous owner did all scheduled maintenance at a local Toyota dealership. New frame installed in 2013. Looked underneath at it, and its black paint is glossy. Wheels have scuff, but tires are almost brand new. Brake pads are new. Body is in very good shape for a 2004. No accidents, no dents. Very small paint chipping by the rear door with some rust behind it. Cloth interior is also in very good condition. All electronics work (A/C, stereo, etc).

I drove it, and it seemed to drive pretty good. Clutch pedal squeaks, but I think a little lube will cure it. Engine starts nice and quickly.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I got the 4.3l in the same configuration as that for $9,400 a year ago. Granted it didn't have a new frame, but it was a rust free Texas frame. A little lube likely wont fix the clutch pedal. The good news is the fix is easy! Search for squeaky clutch fix.

Wow. Great price. How many miles did yours have? So you're thinking mine is a bit on the high side?

    thanks.

I got mine with 122,800 miles on it. Maybe a bit high. If it were the 3.4l I'd probably take it and run.

That's a terrible price. I got my 01 with less milage, 4x4, and TRD locker, new frame AND some aftermarket lights for cheaper.

    Edit: AND ITS A V6

Idk... Maybe that's just the market up here in the northeast for AWD trucks, especially with winter around the corner. I shopped around and this seems to be the best deal around.

Just negotiated down to $10,499 and included 90 day warranty.

Awd and 4wd are different FYI. But good luck with the new truck!

Welcome to TW, PsiBlast! Vehicle valuation depends heavily on CONDITION and LOCATION. Here in CO, KBB estimates the value of the truck you describe between $7.8K and $10.7K, while NADA's estimates range from $7.8K to $12.4K.

FWIW, I shopped first gen Tacomas with my son about a year ago. At that time, KBB's estimates were consistently below (CO) market - all the trucks we looked at were priced on the high side of NADA's estimates, with several selling before we could even begin negotiating.

Bottom line: $10.5K for the truck you describe would be a decent deal, here in CO.

Sounds believable for my area (Santa Cruz CA), if no rust at all and very clean. I know of a very similar one that sold here a month ago for $11.5. V6 and TRD would add $2k+.
