it was denver or salt lake. recent events in the last year and the connections i have all point to denver. Im thinking I will. Im going there for the culture more than anything. The intensity of all of the sports and activities I love is bigger and the demographic of people in each activity is bigger. even found a couple of sailing clubs an hour out of denver lol. which is where im going, denver. Yup! allll done this winter.

What do you want to do? When you say similar? Ya it's been on my mind for a while, it will be hard leaving my immediate family and friends and my rather well paying job this summer to move, but a kick in the face kind of change is what I want. Dunno, I'm a pretty hrs grass is greener kind of person, and I think the grass is greener there. Guess I'll find out! Just have to...commit to it

Wel it sounds like you're close!! One more semester! I love college, love the atmosphere , I'm just over studying and having class and doing hw. Got my job dialed in, starting full time when I'm done. I have zero motivation for my last few classes.

Crazy to think back when we all just got started, like you guys convincing me to come to the first moab trip I was reading those poses in my comm 114 logic class my freshman year of college lol! Freaking nuts!!!

You gonna be in wyo beg of jan?

No, they wanted me to drive an additional 500 miles. I don't drive that often so it will be awhile. I think I just broke 100 miles the other day haha. If it starts making noise I will take it in early, otherwise it has been running fine.

Glad you have a plan man! Sometimes that's all you need. Yea I have know since spring that I have what it takes to do what I want. Going to try and become an engineer at Capitol studios. Maybe make the transition to scoring stages.

I don't have much motivation for any class except audio haha.

Yea and you had just bought a 4wd tacoma hahaha

I'll be in wyo for a tad in January. Not much though. School starts the 11th

Welcome . I am from Laramie and there are a few other members here as well (not as active). We had an Airforce member stationed there with a white 4runner.

I have yet to find a defect software to edit with. I can edit with gopoo software but it will not export. Running windows 7, 8gb ram i7. You would think it could handle it but crashes 100% of the time. Gopro tech support was useless.

I never had issues with the gopro software or movie maker.

    Just hated editing.

    8gb ram isn't a whole lot for video editing. At a minimum I would want 16gb but ideally 32 - 64gb

These were the max specs in 2010 that i could get. It is a studio 1747. Has overheating issues and i managed to completely fry 2 processors (under warranty) i now just have to use it on a cooling pad and i have no issues.

Time to clean and re-apply thermal paste, generally the factory does a shitty job of this and as it ages it doesn't couple very well. I have a thread on Overclock.net about how shitty my old ASUS laptops paste job was. http://www.overclock.net/t/1385275/thermal-nightmare-i-ran-across

A laptop should never need a cooling pad to be used.

My gopro is dead. Won't do anything. Need to see if i can get it replaced. Kinda mad about it.

Adobe Premier is what id use for editing and after effects.

Yeah, sounds like a crappy factory build. My laptop will heat up at times but never to the point of destroying a processor. I have the i7 and with 8gb ram. I need to upgrade to 16gb but I have been on the edge of just building a desktop for awhile. Luckily it doesn't take much to edit photos the way I do and I don't care about video right now. I would not be working on a laptop if I was serious about working with video.

Interesting, maybe one day I will crack open my ASUS and re-apply some thermal paste.
