    Copypasta from my own thread:

I finally found a dealer in SoCal that was willing to come down below MSRP (hard to find around here right now) and was able to find my exact specced truck (with a few overpriced addons I didn't really want, but accepted). I used the AMEX T R U E C A R car buying service to find them and get the lowest price I've been able to find anywhere.

    Double Cab, Short Bed
    TRD Sport
    Magnetic Gray
    Tonneau Cover
    Tow Package
    Premium Tech Package w/JBL
    D-Rings (didn't really want)
    Exhaust tip (didn't want)
Floor mats and door sill protectors (wanted to buy my own cheaper)

    MSRP: $36,354
    Less discount: (1,458)
    Plus doc fee: 80
Plus dealer trade fee: 250 (he wanted 500, I said no deal and we agreed on 250 for them to have somebody drive it from Chula Vista to Corona, roughly 100 miles)
    Total before TTL: $35,226

    Invoice: 34,069
    MSRP: 36,354
    My price: 35,226

So roughly $1,110 above invoice and $1,100 below MSRP. Definitely not the best deal to be had, but it's the best I've found and he located the only car in SoCal with the specs I wanted (I couldn't find it on any dealer websites, or on Cars.com). My other car was having more issues lately, so I had to expedite my purchase anyway. Definitely worth it to me to get the truck ASAP. Within 3 hours they had it up at the dealership last night, and delivered it to me in Orange today.

Copy and pasted from the general quote/offer thread. I think this is a so cal offer. So anyone lucky enough to have recently graduated (last two years or will graduate in next 6 months) From college or certain technical schools can get a $750 rebate until 11/1. There's also a $100 off American Express offer. So using truecar.com, I've found DCLBTRDOR for just over invoice. In corona, ca.

Near invoice isnt bad. Seems like the smaller dealers are more willing to play ball unlike the big boys like Orange and Longo

Interesting. I just typed it and it added the affiliate link automatically. I edited the post so people don't think that's my affiliate link.

Hence the rest of the post. :bananadance: Anyone could get an AMEX for $100 . Without those incentives, it's till ~$1500 off MRSP, if the dealership honors the truecar.com estimate for orders.

I just bought my 16 DCSB TRDOR 4X4 (7544) Super White, with tow, premium tech w/jbl, tonneau cover, carpet mats and sills, and ex tip from Valley Hi Toyota in Victorville, CA (High Desert) for +500 over invoice (MSRP 39,2k, my price was 37,2 after fees before tax. I also got 4.9 financing and 24,4k for my 2013 DCSB Sport 4X4 w56k mi. I worked directly with Dan Brown in internet sales. I ordered the truck from his allocation late August and took delivery 10/23. I had to bust the sales mgrs chops a bit to get the interest rate down and trade up, but the sale price started and ended at 500 over invoice. All in all I feel I got a good deal, and after the neg. the dealership was a joy to work with. I would highly recommend them if your in so cal and in the market. Just bring your mit, cause they do like to play ball! lol

You busted his ass for 4.9 percent interest? Do you have a BK on your record or something?

I called around and shopped around a TON prior to buying my 2016 TRD SPORT 4X4. I was absolutely disguisted with some places. Hamer Toyota (I'm sure they're not alone) were referred to me by USAA car buying service and the "guaranteed" price was roughly 35,500 or so. I called Hamer to make sure they had my car in stock prior to making the drive over there. Hamer told me the price would not be as I was quoted, but would be an additional 2,900 hundred for "Market availability". I confirmed with him that the 2,900 price was just an asinine way to take more money from consumers just because the truck is in demand and he said "yes, if that's how you want to look at it. That add-charge will probably disappear around December since the honeymoon phase will be over with the new model. "

Scumbags, man. I will NEVER do business there and am planning on reporting them to USAA for false pricing to have them removed from the car buying service.

I went to Frontier Toyota in valencia and they were pretty straight forward. Not a ton of dealing, but I came in with financing on my own and the process took less than an hour before drive away.

I'm in the High Desert as well. I've been hitting just about every dealer in SoCal (and beyond) with emails since Friday. Of those that have replied (maybe 15 of them), most are offering MSRP. A few for more than MSRP. I got one offer today finally for $1000 over invoice to order it (my requests are very specific: TRDDC OR, 4X4, LB in quicksand) - might be the best deal I see, but I'm going to share that offer with the others dealers who replied and see if anyone will beat it. I was hoping to hear back from Anjelica at Toyota of Pasadena, who has apparently ordered for $500 over invoice for someone else on this forum, but she has not responded. Might try calling her tomorrow.

I worked with Dan Brown at Valley-Hi 2 years ago on a used car and that worked out well, but he hasn't been as helpful this time around, basically telling me "there are no quicksand Tacomas in Southern California" and not offering to try to trade allocations or change a build in progress, which other dealers have offered.

Maybe not the specific setup you're requesting, but there are definitely Quicksand Tacomas down here in Orange County.

Hopefully you hear back from Anjelica. I got mine from her for $500 over and i think another person on the forum contacted her and was offered an order for $500 over. I told her i was going to send her some potential buyers and she said "thank you, I will take good care of them!".

I sent Anjelica another email (tried to call but it said her mail box was full). Hopefully she'll get back to me today.

Phoenix isn't completely out of the question.
