ok so, i was due for inspection march of 08, i been tryin to take my 97' 2.7 4x4 tacoma, to get inspected and cant pass, because of my check engine light, i found out why my C/E light was on, it was because of my cat. Feburary of this year, i had my stock cat replaced because it was clogged. I replaced it with a HI-Flow cat, because it was cheaper to do. During the rest of the year the C/E light would come on and off every now and then, but now it stays on, and i cant pass inspection. But I love how a hi-flow cat makes my truck sound. So is there a company that makes hi-flow cats for tacomas that will keep the C/E light off, and passes inspection? any suggestions?

Did you check the C/E codes again / recently?

Perhaps its a new code...and/or could have something to do with the 02 sensors? Just guessing....

long story short, I suggested going to urdusa and buying one of their O2 simulators. http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.php?cPath=66_72&products_id=1230100014

dam this sux, a stock cat is like $500 and $100 to install, and it doesnt sound nearly as good as the hi flow, see I'm from NC, there are so many restrictions u pretty much have to have a all stock car to pass, if i jus knew a company that makes cats for my specific tacoma (1997 2.7 4x4) i would be soo much better off
