Worst one I ever had was when I buried my '94 Nissan (3" body lift & 32" swampers) up to the door sills in mud. We had to chain 4 trucks together and it still took us close to three hours to get me out. If I hadn't had a 4" tube bumper filled with concrete on the rear that truck would probably STILL be there.

 

I sense a drag race coming....

 

What'd get?

 

CV is just a replacement from Autozone from a local. I'm ordering new 5100s just need to wait for the paycheck. Really hoping to do the CV Sunday so it's out of the way. Don't plan on trailing the truck until the snow falls so IDK if its ok to drive with a leaking CV or not.

It's going to be much better to do the CV and struts at the same time.

 

Looks like I'll be waiting till next weekend then, or take a day off from work and punch it out.

 

Yeah no reason to take the front end apart twice. Who's going to help pull apart and reassemble your struts?

 

IDK, last time I did springs I just wrapped a ratchet strap around them and compressed till it was lose enough to get it apart. Thinking I may do the same or rent a spring compressor from autozone or advanced. I live right behind a Sullivan Tire so may ask them how much they would charge to swap them out real quick

 

Rent the spring compressor. If one of those straps breaks that's a lot of tension coming unwound in a hurry.

Shrug. I was hoping that he was like me and when he's asked a question about the motor in his classic he tells you ALL of the information about the motor, lol.

You can drive with the axle leaking . I had both front axle leaking for 2 months then traded that POS in lol . Good luck to whoever buys that truck .

 

It took me a few miles just to find second on this thing. Never did find reverse, but in fairness he had trouble trying to show me where it was himself
