So I know it's a gimmick but it is still kind of cool. Post your GoPro Videos and share how you are using your GoPro as a dash cam or just for fun. Please include information like where you are 4 wheeling and your GoPro settings. Let's keep it positive!

Considering I use a Dashcam in my current vehicle, I'm excited to have a dedicated mount for a gopro. I am confused at the lack of foresight shown in not having any sort of dedicated power. There should be a split connector for the mirror to also power the gopro.

Maybe someone will come up with one by the time I can buy my '16.

Drift cameras make a Ghost Hd that has a car dvr mode which works awesome. I have a couple at my shop I am going to see if I can mount up to the GoPro base since they make a GoPro adapter for their cameras.

Next will be figuring out a none obtrusive way to get a USB port up top, which I agree, should have been there day 1.

I ordered a part I originally got for my jetta for this.
Its just a USB port for charging stuff (in my case its hooked to the 12v in my car) just gonna use that and hide it somewhere behind the glovebox and use that. Ran the wire around the windshield, can't even see it. Works great.

    just using that.
I have two of them in my car one behind the shifter and one under the glovebox.

works great with my DODTech dash cam

I pulled ignition-switched 12v from a sunroof motor lead to run my V1 radar detector. Took all of 10 minutes. You could easily do the same for GoPro. Assuming you have run roof. It's the lead adjacent to the thicker white lead on the motor harness. That thicker white lead is always 12v hot.

Add some pictures and steps and you could make a great how-to thread if you were so inclined. Give it a name and you can be immortalized as the creator of the "Boultman Mod" that so many of us are planning to do one way or another.

I thought the Go Pro mounts were cool until I looked at how much a Go Pro costs.

    Hahaha no.

Why remove it when you can use it as a front facing camera, perfect for BooB bouncing while off-roading.........
