Severe Weather thread.

Yep. Got some of it over night here. Wasn't as much as originally predicted. Winds are supposed to pick up though. 40mph gusts. So wet fall leaves and 40mph gusts, it's going to be snowing leaves for the day.

We got a big dump of rain again last night and I woke up to find the creek that borders our property running with a normal level of water in it for the first time since about April . The lake that provides our water must have finally got up above the overflow for the first time since our drought set in , there has only been a tiny trickle of water all summer from the amount the water district is mandated to release in order to keep the trout and salmon fry alive

 

It's 91.5 degrees at my house.

 

Got snow headed my way next week, we'll see what happens! I've been scrambling to finish building my dog yard before the ground freezes up for the winter.

 

I'm kind of bummed. The prediction for my area is a mild winter. Above average Temps and below average snow.

 

Got three inches of snow yesterday back home. Forecasr looked like snow for most of the week. Can't wait for it to turn in to winter again

2 together is not that uncommon. Being so clear and with lightning on each side. I can see that being put in question. But still a cool pic.

Rained like hell in Iowa around 5 o clock. Plus i had a runaway horse in the pasture i had to chase down. Fun night indeed boys.

 

We have a big storm coming ashore today , moderate to high winds and 2" of rain in the next 24 hours

 

That system in the great lakes has some spin to it.

 

Have some crazy winds here currently. 30 to 40mph gusts going up to 50mph gusts.

The same system that snowed on Denver and caused some tornadoes in the Midwest.

Best time of year in my little neck of the woods.
Hurricane season is practically over. I've started taking the shutters down. The tourists are mostly gone. And the snow birds don't dhow up in large numbers until after the holidays.
Temps are beginning to cool a bit. And the deer are beginning to move.
