ive been trying to add some miles. I just never go far. The most miles ive ever put on a vehicle was just over 40k. And that was with me driving to florida and back 3 times. I always get the "low mileage" discounts on insurance.

I average about 25,000 miles a year. No low mileage discounts for me!

There was one trip to NC and back, a few to northern NH and back, two to Boston, a few fairly close ones (southern CT, central NY). If I eliminate those types of trips, I'm probably closer to 21,000 a year.

@DrFunker @js312 does anyone want to split the cost/ a gallon of Fluid film with me? I really need to get it done. The weather is an uncertainty at this point. Im thinking maybe this monday. They sell it by the gallon at protech, across from bj's. If not, thats fine. Just figured we could save a little $.

Looks like private party value is still $21-22k, not bad!

I'd say yes, but I don't think I'd find time to actually do it before the snow comes. By the time I leave work, there aren't enough daylight hours and with stuff I need to do at my house, plus helping my parents with things at their house my weekends end up pretty full.

i believe 50 or 60 bucks. Last time, i sprayed it with an electric paint sprayer. It was kind of messy and a p.i.t.a. you can brush it, but spraying it gets into more nooks and crannies. I am going to go this route ------https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/application-of-fluid-film.229505/

Yeah I imagine it would be better. I don't have one of those though. It's probably not something you would do in the driveway either cause of the mess eh? I'd like to do it, she hasn't seen salt yet salt would be a good thing.

i did it in my fathers driveway last time. Big mistake. The driveway was a slick skating rink for a few weeks. I tried to scrub it off with soap/water and an old carwash brush. But it wouldn't come off. Thats a good thing i guess. If you do it, pull the truck up on grass.

Oh shit, I bet he wasn't too happy. Will half a gallon do the whole underside? I'm interested. I won't be back for another couple of weeks though and it may be too late, hopefully not.

yes, it will do the whole underside. I believe people on here can do 3-4 applications with a gallon. But splitting it 2 ways, may as well just do a heavy half gallon application per truck.

Thanks for the offer and idea. I use the rattle can form for mine. I know not as cost effective, but it is easier for me.
    Thanks though.

Yeah I might use the rattle can for mine too. That way I don't have to buy a spray gun!

I just bought a 1 gallon kit from Kells Sports products. I was hoping to apply it this week, today actually, but I still have to wash the undercarriage and its supposed to rain. I'm not sure if it will dry in time to do it tomorrow. I'll be happy to sharethe spraygun and some fluid film. I work in Whately, not as far west as you guys, but I figured I'd offer
