My advice, take it or leave it, never have a dealer do your lift. Ever. Go to a quality four wheeling place to have it done. Also add in about $200 for an alignment with new cams with a suspension lift.
A dealer will rip you off in price and quality.

It is imposible to change out a suspension 100% and maintain factory ride. Impossible by definition.

I would wait on nee tires until you get a lift. Are you sure you won't want new wheels once you see it lifted? Also dealers sell the shittiest wheels. You are better off selling the brand new ones and buying new at a tire shop.

Old shells will not work for the new trucks. Bed dimensions have changed.

I definitely will not have the dealer lift it, I know better than that. As far as wheels? I am replacing the actual tires not the wheels, but do you think I may not want bigger ones after the lift Pack Con? And will both of those suspension lifts work? When will shells update as far as the 2016's do you think? Thanks for the feedback. All other feedback wold be appreciated if you know anything about what I asked.

Maybe it's just me but a 27" tire...? You can get close to a 32" (265/75r16 or 265/70r17) on it for sure without a lift. There was one poster who said he got 33's on his with no lift, but I'm skeptical of that. I'm not going to get into the 33", lifted, UCA, trimming required conversation though.

275's can likely be fit without any rubbing depending on the brand of tire. There are a couple members that have mounted 285's without a lift, but they said it lightly rubs the UCA.

Warning. The OME lift will be much stiffer than stock ride. I was fine with it, but not every one will be. Im running 33 in tire with the 887 OME coils- no rubbing.

So do you think I will be safe with Ko2's if I go with the 275's,as far as not rubbing? As far as the OME lift being stiff, my last truck was a Ram Power wagon,so do you think I would even be able to tell?(I don't mind to stiff, just means my suspension is doing it's job). If your running 33's, what is the exact spec number of your tire, and what brand? I definitely want the KO2's.

I have the 4cyl. 2wd so theres not much weight pushing down on the springs which makes it ride stiffer (I think). You should be fine and probably wont even notice. Im running 255/85/16's (a true 33) Cooper STT Maxx's. KO2's are a good brand though, almost went with them.

Cool Man. Cooper is a good tire. So, I should be safe with the OEM I am wanting to go with (original post). What is the maintenance like for the OEM, will it keep the integrity of the stock geometry?

Its ok Iv done the same haha. Yeah the OME suspension is solid, great reviews everywhere, definitely won't need that much maintenance. The only complaint I have had and heard by others is the clank you hear when going over speed bumps. It's just the shock meeting it's internal bumpstop but it scares the hell out of you the first time you hear it. Can you specify what exactly you are getting? I couldn't find anything by searching your part number.

Here is the exact link, I figured I would leave the spacers off (pretty much going with everything else),hear bad stuff about adding spacers to the lift http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/OME-Tacoma-Suspension-lift-kit_p_231.html Let me know what you think. OME may have an updated version of this lift for the 2016's...definitely beats me as of right now, maybe you guys can educate me?

Yeah It is definitely going to be a chunk of change, but I have been putting money in the old piggy bank, for when the truck gets in.

That setup seems solid, but how much lift were you wanting? And did you want it to sit level?

I want 3". Would it be better to sit level? It would probably be better for me having it level, because of loading up my bed occasionally (in terms of extra weight and sagging in the rear). I have been reading that having a little bit of a drop in the rear isn't to bad of an idea (but cant tell if that is more for cosmetic reasons)? But, really I want whatever is the BEST as far as that OEM suspension, even if it means spending a little extra cash. I'm trying to stay at 3" so I am not messing with the drive lifespan (heard if you go over that, problems start occurring)?? I Know nothing about lifting beyond growing up with lifted trucks everywhere, and both of my other trucks having stock lifts (power wagons).

I'm super interested in pros or cons to leaving the back lower as well. I like the look..for goodness sake, its called pre-running. I want to go up 2" in the front, maybe 3. Subtle is key for me. Still a family truck and hopefully always will be.

:) You can find quite a bit on leaving the back lower. I think as long as it sits just below 'level',we are good to go...but, I'm gearing towards playing it safe and letting it sit level. Totally hear you about it being a family truck, In the same boat. My kids are going to be a little disappointed they cannot climb all over the place, like they could in my Ram (Sort of why I got a moon roof... a place they can pop their head out if they feel to cramped). For just myself, out in the woods...the Tacoma will be a perfect home away from home, and be able to knock out most of the task I ask of it I'm sure. Looking forward to some good pin striping, on some 'less traveled' trails and timber roads, that's for sure.
