What a joke! I guess someone will buy it. $4,500 up-charge for an "off road package" that is an SR5 with spacers in front, nothing in the rear, and OEM SR5 shocks plus wheels and tires. image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

Toyota of Dallas. Part of the reason I went all the way to Denver for mine. Just up here for service.

The one good thing about this dealer though is they have a separate off road shop in here called TRDparts4U. They sell Icon, ARB, OME, RTT's and anything else you can imagine. They are all very knowledgeable too. Been chatting with them while my truck is in service.

I tried to but their allocation for what I wanted was weak and their prices were too high so I worked a deal in Denver for what I wanted and hopped on a plane. I guess I'm about to see how their service dept is. I'm about equidistant from sport city so I can go there too I guess

The sad thing is there are a lot of people who will pay this simply because they have no idea what they are looking at. Its these same people who pay to have their tires rotated even though this never gets done and who pay a ridiculous amount of money to have the oil changed in addition to a "220" point inspection w/all fluids topped off (yeah okay Mr. mechanic).

    Ignorance is bliss :)

I wish I had time to hop on a plane and drive back to save a couple thousand. We got one early on so I wasn't expecting a great deal. But we traded in a car and haggled the price. I felt $38k OTD was fair, plus our trade was a better offer than originally expected. I forget the final number after tax and trade in. The other local dealers didn't bother with me. I went to Richardson and Plano. Dallas is the only that took the time out. I had my truck in a week.

One can never have too many light bars.
Damn that's gonna look pretty sweet on a ledger when the truck sells. This is why dealerships get the reputation that they have.

Hopefully someone will call them out on that BS. A spacer up front with KO2s on a set of 2015 wheels = $4500 Off road package?!

And unless there is another item above, or the tax is added, the total for the "off road" package is wrong. About +$400 wrong.

Why do you think the rotation is never done? I know for a fact it is done on my car when I have it done.
