Just noticed that they labeled your spindles L and R.

    Must've thought a 1st genner would need a little help :D

Wait, you do know what "L" and "R" stand for right?

Nice... A340F and T-case. I did the same as you, only went with an Inch Worm 4.7 gear driven case.

    Question:
Is the 3.4 bell housing the same as your 2.7?

    Thanks.

That is a good question. No (I just went out and looked) they are not. Because of the location of the starter. They are opposite from each other. So it's a good thing I got the matching motor, tranny, Tcase and wiring harness. To bad the guy didn't have the ECU. I had to get that from a different truck.

Yup, When Barb and I where looking at the first motor. It didn't go well. So we started looking at other 1st gen double cabs. They where around 11-15k plus interest. Then she wanted me to look into Xcab or single now that the kids are older. I said nope. I told her I can get the truck running with about 4-5k plus all the metal work I already put in. That's when she gave me the ok and just fix the truck. I wouldn't consider 2nd gen because of the money put into the long travel stuff I already purchased. That's it in a nutshell.

Sooo...To me this means fix your truck and buy another. I mean, you can't use your truck as a trade-in in the current state. Just sayin. :)
When I was married and bought a motorcycle, my wife made me promise to buy a helmet.
I did, I bought one. She didn't make me promise to wear it however..

@BDN Nope I don't need another truck right now. To be honest I'll make this last as long as I can. Maybe buy a 2025-2030 taco. Who knows. But It will defiantly be a Tacoma.

I also soaked my cam bolts in this stuff. Works awesome. They are very clean and look like new. I did get them from a junk yard so they did have rust on them.

Spindles are painted and I should get the new ball joints from camelback Toyota by this weekend and start cycling the front Long travel.

No I haven't got them yet. Plus a buddy of mine told me to pick up some junk yard ones then take them to some shop that does trades for a better quality one. He says they are worth it. I'm still looking into it. I wish I can swing by and check it out but I'm stuck home this weekend. The wife wants me home " family time" But when you do yours post pics I'll check out your build.

I came across a couple of speed bumps installing the LT kit. Powder coating in the holes. For the grease zerks and bolt holes. I ended up pulling a thread off one zerk but got a replacement from work. Then the bolt holes I had to file the powder coating to get the bolt through. Just little things really. I just figure I share for the next guy thinking about this kit.
